If you've gone through miscarriage, infertility related losses, baby loss or child loss and would like personal support with your grief, your life after loss, taking your next steps or whatever it is that you're going through, I would be honoured to work with you.

We can connect wherever you are, whether at home or on your lunch break, just choose a time that works.

I offer you the comfort of a trusted and experienced listener, someone who knows just how devastating, and exhausting, this kind of grief can be.

A special note to say that this is not therapy, counselling, midwifery care or medical treatment. What you'll receive is professional support, drawn from years of experience, learning and witnessing.

Together, we'll create a plan and you'll receive support both in the moment and as you take your next steps, however this looks for you and in a way that is most helpful.


If we haven't met, I'm Shannon. I live on the west coast of Canada but work with people from all around the world. It is always an honour to be invited in to someone's story.

After working as a midwife for over 15 years, with families whose experiences included all kinds of joy and sorrow, I've chosen to focus on supporting people after baby, fertility and child loss - because there is such a need.

I know how hard it can be to find the right kind of support, and to find someone who understands these losses - both personally and professionally - from a whole person perspective.

This means that we can explore how your heart, your spirit, your relationships, your work and really your whole life have been impacted, in addition to what has happened medically and physically, and how things are going for you now.

It is important that all of these parts of your experience are respected, but it can sometimes be hard to find people who can support you in holding all of the pieces.

Wondering what you can expect?

In each session, we'll check in with how you're doing, and decide where to go from there.

Our conversations are casual, you can just show up however you are that day.

  • You are at the centre of your experience. This is the guiding principle of our time together.
  • This is your journey, your love, your grief, your life. My role is to support you as you navigate all that you're going through.
  • What we explore will depend on what is happening for you right now. If your grief is new you may want to learn a little more about it, or wonder why it is so hard. If you have an anniversary or other special day coming up, you may want support in strategizing how to get through it a little more gently.
  • As a supportive guide I can help you tune in to what you need to cope and keep going (and yes it's okay if you feel like you have no idea what you need, what your heart is saying, or how you can keep going).
  • Your inner voice is powerful but it can take time, space and some compassionate self care to begin to hear it.
  • If you are not already seeing a therapist but would like to, we can talk about how to find someone and the importance of accessing the care you need, especially if you have experienced a traumatic loss.
  • We may focus on practical ways for you to feel more supported and able to cope with your day to day life, depending on what's happening.
  • We may talk, spend time reflecting, go through a guided meditation or restorative yoga session or do some creative planning, it really depends on what's going on for you.

You can also book from within the program workspace anytime, either when you join or later on.

You're welcome to work with me without joining the MYH program.
